Spread out a sheet in an open space with family members holding on to an edge of the sheet with two hands. Work together to make waves in the sheet—small ones, large ones, waves going in one direction and then the other, low waves, or waves overhead. If you have enough participants, take turns with one “sea monster” letting go and trying to “swim” under the sheet all the way to the other side before the sheet can come down and capture the “sea monster”. Stuffed animals (any sea creatures?) or balls, can be placed on top of the sheet. Then one person can try to keep the object from falling off the edge while the other person tries to move the sheet so that the object will fall off! If everyone is feeling competitive, keep score!
