- Understand that this is a "weekend" position defined at TFL to include Friday and Saturday (through Labor Day). After Labor Day you would be required to work Sunday. Are you committed to working these hours?

We are looking to hire a WEEKEND MANAGER for Friday and Saturday but expanding to include Sunday after Labor Day (10-15 hrs/wk). This person would be responsible for circulation activities on the Main Floor and supervising staff in the Childrens' Department. The incoming employee should be prepared to offer support with Reader's Advisory Suggestions, Technology Assistance, and Material Handling on the weekends, defined here as Friday-Sunday.
- ABOUT THIS POSITION: This position demands patience and excellent communication skills. As the front-line contact with patrons, the person filling this position must have strong interpersonal skills and be willing to talk books, tech, and life.
- DETAILS: This is a part-time position with the hours yet to be determined. It is the goal of the trustees that the library would return to pre-pandemic hours. The hours would include 5 hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Additional substituting hours may be possible.
- This position is eligible for paid leave and an employee contribution to a pre-tax retirement program. The starting salary is $15-$17 per hour depending on qualifications.
We are looking for the person who fits within our organizational value system and the ideal candidate must possess a willingness and interest in expanding ones' skills and learning new job activities. As our world changes our staff have greatly broadened their skills and taken on new tasks seemingly unrelated to "library skills." We want someone willing to seek out and take on new challenges.
LIBRARY EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED. WE WILL TRAIN YOU ON LIBRARY PARTICULARS.
